Water is a Precious Resource
As we are experiencing a drier than usual period in Southwest Colorado, as you visit the Purgatory Community Please Keep Water Conservation in mind and reduce consumption as much as possible.
For current drought updates and conditions see https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/
A faucet with a slow leak (100 drops a minute) will waste 350 gallons of water in one month, a fast stream such as a running toilet can waste up to 4600 gallons in a month.
Some ways you can help to conserve water.
Turn off the Faucet while brushing teeth and shaving
Not using the Toilet as a trash receptacle
Be sure to turn off faucets completely
Report any leaking water fixtures
From the Wastewater Plant
It may be flushable but its not biodegradable! Please Do Not Flush items that will not biodegrade.
Flushable wipes can cause problems in the sewer collection system, including clogs and backups, they are also damaging to pumps and equipment. Please DO NOT Flush any wipes, whether they say flushable or not, they are not flushable, wipes do not agree with the sewer system! Wet Wipes Wrecking the Worlds Sewers!
The District District and our Engineering team have started the final design process for the new Wastewater Treatment Plant. For further info please contact Eric Hassel email@example.com
Please beware of winter conditions and snow removal operations as you proceed throughout the District and give plows and equipment room to work.
