Water is a Precious Resource
As we are experiencing a drier than usual period in Southwest Colorado, as you visit the Purgatory Community Please Keep Water Conservation in mind and reduce consumption as much as possible.
A faucet with a slow leak (100 drops a minute) will waste 350 gallons of water in one month, a fast stream such as a running toilet can waste up to 4600 gallons in a month.
Some ways you can help to conserve water.
Turn off the Faucet while brushing teeth and shaving
Not using the Toilet as a trash receptacle
Be sure to turn off faucets completely
Report any leaking water fixtures
From the Waste Water Plant
Flushable wipes can cause problems in the sewer collection system, including clogs and backups, they are also damaging to pumps and equipment. Please DO NOT Flush any wipes, whether they say flushable or not, they are not flushable, wipes do not agree with the sewer system! Wet Wipes Wrecking the Worlds Sewers!

Upcoming Projects
The District District continues to work with the State on the design and approval for a new mechanical waste water treatment plant. We are in the process of receiving and setting up a pilot plant to test a new cutting edge wastewater treatment process from the Netherlands.
Please beware of winter conditions and snow removal operations as you proceed throughout the District and give plows and equipment room to work.
